"Venus Flytrap": a venus flytrap or Dionaea muscipula is a well-known carnivorous plant. Usually found in swamps on North and South Carolina, it catches flies and other small insects atracted by its sweet nectar, as an adaption for the poor soil it lives in. I have one in my window (:
